Practice Test

These practice test questions help you become familiar with the question formats in the Civil Service Work Strengths Test (Work Strengths Test).

The Work Strengths Test assesses your strengths; what you do regularly, what you do well and what motivates you.

This practice test comprises of three sections, which reflect how the real test is structured.

  • In Section A you will be presented with statements about the things you enjoy at work. You are asked to rate each of the statements.
  • In Section B you will be presented with a scenario representing the typical situations individuals working in the Civil Service may encounter. You are asked to rate the effectiveness of actions related to the scenario.
  • In Section C you will be presented with a further scenario. You are asked to rate the action you would be most likely to take in response to the scenario and the action you would be least likely to take.
