Your manager has asked to speak to you about an upcoming piece of work that he wants you to do with one of your colleagues, Sam. You have worked with Sam in the past and have felt that you worked well together.

Rate the effectiveness of the following actions you could take.

Ask your manager to find someone else to work with you on the task as it is clear that Sam does not want to work with you.

Contact Sam and ask him to explain what issues he is referring to and tell him that it is important that you work together effectively on the task.
